John Larochelle was born and raised in Rochester where he now lives, returning after retiring from the Dupont Company. John is an Army veteran from a working-class family who knows what it is like to work hard for a living. He was the first in his family to graduate from college and went on to get a Ph.D. in Chemistry. John served Rochester as a mayor, city councilor, a member of the Community Development Committee, and currently is a police commissioner. He is now ready to serve as State Representative.

Open and Transparent Government
The public should have the freedom to easily access documents and information that is in an easily used and understood format. Government should be open, transparent and understandable.
Assistance to the Elderly
All of our residents should be able to age with dignity, free from fear and concerns that they will be unable to afford safe and affordable housing, as well as enough money for food and other necessities of life.
Quality Education for All Students
Every child deserves an equal chance to be all that they can be by getting a solid education. Every student should have the freedom and opportunity to receive a quality public education that will prepare them to support themselves.
