JUNE 2: A Guide to Writing Effective Letters to the Editor

Please join former congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter and Sue Mayer, Carol’s first campaign manager and long-time congressional staffer, for an information session:

Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Writing Letters to the Editor

DATE: Thursday, June 2, 2022
TIME: 7:00 pm via Zoom
TO PARTICIPATE: Email to request a link for this event. Zoom links will be emailed on June 1st.

Letters to the editor are a highly effective tool in combatting the disinformation campaign of the Republican Party and are based on facts and grounded in values that we all hold.

Carol will survey the big picture on letters to the editor (LTEs)—why it’s important to write them, their impact, and how it can help us win elections. Sue will concentrate on how to write impactful and effective LTEs, which will include the types of LTEs, do’s and don’ts, optimal length, how to choose a topic, the importance of knowing your audience, and so forth.

We hope to see you there!
