All are welcome! Join our monthly meeting featuring two Democratic candidates running for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District: Carleigh Beriont and Christian Urrutia.
With Congressman Chris Pappas running for U.S. Senate, CD1 is wide open. A recent UNH poll found that 47% of likely Democratic primary voters are still undecided. That means this race is far from settled, and your voice matters.
This is a great opportunity to hear directly from two candidates, ask questions, and get a feel for who they are and what they’d bring to Congress.

View this event on MobilizeCarleigh Beriont is a union organizer, teacher, and Hampton Select Board Chair. She helped lead the successful campaign to unionize Harvard’s graduate student workers, earned a PhD from Harvard, and has taught at the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2024 she won a seat on Hampton’s Select Board, defeating two Republican incumbents, and now serves as the town’s chief elected leader. She lives in Hampton with her husband Eric, a public middle school teacher, and their two kids.
Christian Urrutia is an Army National Guard officer and public defender for soldiers, and a human rights and international law attorney. He led the legal team that won a landmark federal jury verdict against a Chilean war criminal for the torture and murder of activist Victor Jara — a case The Guardian called one of the most significant human rights victories ever won in a U.S. courtroom. He later served as a Pentagon Special Counsel appointed by President Biden. Christian grew up in Hudson, the son of immigrants, and lives in Moultonborough with his wife Jenn and their dog Winston.
