About John Stone
A father of four, John Joseph Stone grew up in Gloucester, Massachusetts and joined the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He served in a recon unit in Cambodia and Laos and was one of only eight soldiers in his 42-man unit to make it home after deployment. Once back, John joined his father and brother in the construction business and received an engineering degree from Boston Technical High School.
John moved to New Hampshire in 1977 and supported his family by working in the construction business throughout the Seacoast area. Although busy, John was an avid hunter and he cares deeply about preserving our lakes and forests. When he was just 48 years old, health problems caused John to stop working as a building contractor. During his convalescence, John received aid from the Community Action Program and he is grateful for that help. Today, John wants to give back by working for his community as a State Representative.
He currently cares for the grounds of his homeowners’ association and is always helping his neighbors and friends with home improvements and construction. His candidacy was supported by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local Union No. 63 in Manchester.
