Andru Volinsky is a New Hampshire lawyer and public advocate. Over the years, he has used his skills and success to advocate for citizens of all ages and from all walks of life. Andru has won several awards for his ability to create positive change, including Concord Monitor’s “One Hundred People Who Shaped the New Hampshire Century” and NHPR’s “25 Most Influential People in the last 25 Years.” He is uniquely qualified for the Executive Councilor position.

Anne Grassie
Anne Grassie has a wealth of experience and knowledge in public policy and service. She has served 20 years as a State Representative and 16 years as a school board member in Rochester, NH. Anne has served as the Chair of the Child Care Advisory Council, Chair of the Somersworth Early Learning Center, she is a 9-year member of the NH Children’s Trust, a founding member of the State Early Learning Alliance, and much more. In a word, she is amazing.

WARD 1 Rochester

Timothy Fontneau

 

Peg Higgins
Peg is a retired Rochester public school teacher. She taught fourth grade at Chamberlain Street School before becoming a reading specialist there. She ended her career at the Gonic School. Peg earned her undergraduate degree at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa and her masters in education at UNH. She is the current president of the Friends of the Rochester Public Library. Most mornings will find her attending classes at the YMCA.

WARD 2 ROCHESTER

Elaine M. Lauterborn

Elaine Lauterborn is running for NH State Representative from Rochester Ward 2. Elaine previously served in the state legislature in 2009-10. She is a long-time City Councilor in Rochester and had served on many boards and commissions over the years. As a retired educator, Elaine is an advocate for quality public education and for protecting the environment for the future of our children.

Sandra B. Keans
Sandy Keans is an unrelenting community activist. She has served several terms in the Legislature and 28 years on the City Council. Additionally she has volunteered for various organizations which include the Skyhaven Airport Authority, NH Board of Pharmacy, Cornerstone Visiting Nurses, Frisbie Hospital Auxiliary and the Rochester Historical Society.  Her main focus will be to get the State to pay the millions of dollars promised and owed to the cities and towns in order to slow the escalating local property taxes.

WARD 3 ROCHESTER

Amy Cann
Amy Cann is determined to represent Rochester and our residents the way we deserve to be represented. She promises to work hard to do the best for Rochester, to listen, know the issues, and to represent every resident fairly, because what we do now – or fail to do – impacts us all. She has been in the business world for 20+ years and in the education field for 7+ years teaching at Southern New Hampshire University and the University of New Hampshire. I am a retired English teacher who has lived and worked in Rochester, NH since 1971. I believe in community service and have served 4 terms on the Rochester School Board, 3 terms as a state legislator in Concord, as the chair of our local library trustee board, on the boards of the Frisbie Memorial Hospital auxiliary and the state board of NH auxiliaries. I pledge to work to help solve problems in a positive manner, just as I have throughout my career and my life. As a former teacher, education is vitally important to me, as are the issues of health insurance and environmental preservation and protection.
